If you’re new to our church, we’d love for you to come to 1st Step, a monthly gathering after the worship service where we have the privilege of meeting you and telling you a little bit more about our church. This is on the first Sunday of the month in our office lobby area.
If you’ve been around AEC for a little while and are wondering what your “Next Step” is, maybe this graphic will help you out a little bit.
Your Next Steps
Join us on a Sunday!
If you’ve been gathering with us on Sundays, please come to 1st Step.
If you’ve gone to 1st Step, consider joining a group.
If you’re already in a group, please consider attending the SHAPE Class (2nd Step) to learn how God has uniquely gifted you to humbly serve others.
If you’ve gone to SHAPE, consider serving at AEC or community ministry.
If you’re serving, consider attending the Evangelism Class (3rd Step) to learn how to be a courageous witness of the Gospel.
If you’re already involved in witnessing to your friends, consider inviting those friends to Alpha and coming with them.
Alpha (4th Step) is a group designed for people seeking truth and asking all the big questions of life in a judgement-free space. It's both an on-ramp for those who are curious about Christianity but not ready to commit to it, and a 4th Step for those inviting their friends to be a part of it and coming with them.
These are the steps, and you can do all of them and still feel unfulfilled, dissatisfied. The goal is not to complete a series of steps, but rather to place ourselves in a position to be formed into the image of Jesus. Sometimes we hit a wall in our spiritual growth. This is normal. This is even God-given for your own good. Continue on this incredible journey with Christ in community with His Church.

We use th Church Center for a variety of communication in our church.
